Recipe A Hot Toddy

I am reviving this thread. Winter is either upon you or on the horizon. Cold and Flu season. First and foremost, get a flu immunization shot. If you are over 50 get a pneumonia immunization shot.

I remember Dad making a "Hot Toddy" cold remedy. It worked amazingly well for breaking a fever.

A Lipton Tea bag steeped in boiling water. Sorry for the poor tea reference. An Aspirin dissolved in the hot tea. Aspirin used to be uncoated and dissolved easily. Now you need to crush the aspirin. Juice of a slice of lemon. 1 Tbsp. honey. 1 shot glass of whiskey. Chug it down. The fever will break within 30 minutes - or less.

Seriously tried and true.
