Its a bit too easy perhaps - I mean, you can fry almost anything as you say. Apples, bananas, courgettes, dumplings, eggs, fish, garlic, halibut, idli,

There - I did the first 9 letters without really thinking about it!

Probably not. It's thinly sliced potatoes sandwiching a cut of white fish then dipped in batter and deep fried. I'll dig out some images in the morning (my ISP is playing up at the moment).

Maybe too difficult but what about fish?
I know I'd have to really think about it, but it would give a good selection of new fish (and fish as in fresh water or sea, but not this like lobster or crayfish, crabs etc, actual fins and no claws)
