Candy Orange Peel and Pineapple at the Same Time?

Hello! Thank you for reading. I am planning to candy orange peel and pineapple to use in a fruit cake today. I'm going to use the same process for candying both of these fruits, but I'm hesitant to candy them in the same pot at the same time for fear the flavor would be affected.

I'd very much appreciate your thoughts on potentially candying them at the same time.

You need to do it in separate pans. The flavors will meld.

I agree. I'd also think that the colors might bleed together if they were done in the same pot.
