Carbon dioxide shortage

How absurd is this? We go about destroying our planet with carbon dioxide and now there is such a shortage of it that fizzy drinks are subject to rationing.

If there is some comfort to be taken, it's the thought that some people might now discover what proper beer tastes like.

Isn't what we and every other mammal breathe out carbon dioxide? How can it be scarce?
