Comfort Foods: What comes to mind from childhood ?

Another 2 dishes which are confort foods, are Paella Marinara & Fideaù Marine ( Noodle Paella ) which my mom prepared at least twice a month at the weekends. Grand fans ..

Tapas of course are another fave both at our fave bars & at home ..

Meat loaf with mashed potatoes and sweet peas
Mom's Sunday "meat pie" made from the small bits and pieces of leftover meat and veggies from the previous week. Crust top and bottom was a U.S. biscuit dough
Biscuit doughnuts - tinned biscuits, a hole cut out of the center. Deep fried then dusted with lots of powdered sugar.
Dark chocolate - any time, any where
My Grandmother's oatmeal - in a red and white crock bowl swimming in fresh cream with a pat of homemade butter on top
