I had the idea of compiling a cryptic crossword on the subject of - who'd have guessed? - food and drink. This might be a touch over-ambitious, but let's test the water with one cautious webbed foot. I'll see what the interest and enthusiasm levels are like. Here's a solitary clue to get us started.

Look at the clue about chicken wearing head gear. You might be looking for a type of chicken. Think of a phrase that means wearing headgear. I mean...there's a song 'The sun has got his ..... ..... That isn't the answer by the way, but I'm tryng to point you in the right direction...
