Yes! I have heard that too. I have a tin of jackfruit but I have never tried it before (let alone tried to pull it!). Have you tried it?

I have! The texture was really good if you let it catch a bit (so a few crunchy bits). I followed a recipe for a BBQ version and found the sauce too sweet. I need to try again but have not found it locally (at least not in syrup). I would certainly recommend it.

Yes, I used a tin. Rinse well and rake out the seeds and dry well. Make sure it is not in syrup. I've seen the fresh fruit in London but not here in the Midlands.
