Lib confused about Italian green? (8)
Lib confused about Italian green? (8)
Same answer, but a different clue from Paul in today's Guardian crossword:
Vegetable, relative having caught cold, cut one.
OK so bro= brother, cc = caught cold (?). What about the rest?
? Not come across that before...Col = cut
A col is a gap or a pass, usually in respect of between or through mountains.
I have been going through a list of French authors in my head, but none of Zola, Proust, Diderot, Sartre, de Beauvoir, Verne, Stendahl, Camus, Flaubert, Voltaire, de Balzac, Hugo, Baudelaire, Moliere or de Maupassant fit the bill. Other French authors are available.
I can see a Proust/sprout anagram, but 'recollected' suggested to me a reversal of letters somewhere.
There must be a Greek mythology/French author clue that gives us Gorgonzola, but I can't be bothered to think of one at the moment.
