Do you have a favourite Christmas record

I was reminded this morning that a certain record was at number one in the UK charts for no less than nine weeks covering the period of Christmas 1977 and well beyond. It was not, as such, a "Christmas" record, but I certainly recall it being impossible to avoid. It didn't seem to matter which pub you went to, the thing would be playing.

I refer to Paul McCartney's lengthy advert for the well known Irish garage Mulligan's Tyres.

I am a child of "Beatle Mania". I was 11 years old when they appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. I lost my heart to those adorable, mop headed Brits. I have never gotten it back. A life long love affair with one of the most influential groups of musicians.
