Don't you ever bake your own? I try to but not always. I buy sliced for sandwiches for son and daughter's lunch boxes.

I've baked bread myself, but I don't do it often.

My latest gadget is a soak and strain bowl. I find it much more useful than a colander, as the holes are smaller. It's therefore ideal for rinsing uncooked rice and lentils as well as all the usual things.

That does look handy. I have to refrain from getting more gadgets. No space!

It's not that big really, at least not as big as a colander. I was a bit disappointed when I first saw it, but that was before I found out how useful it was going to be. I use it nearly every day, whereas the colanders sit in the cupboard and my sieve has gone in the bin. (It's from Kleeneze, BTW.)
