Food and Religion

I had chicken that fresh once before. It was bloody. Admitted not flowing blood as it had been cooked properly, but still obviously cooked blood. I like my meat hung and drained.
No - never seen blood in a properly cooked chicken - chicken is not steak [although I like that well done too] - if I saw chicken like that [or even pink] I would probably walk out too.

That's because the chicken hadn't been hung. Back in the day, our chickens were hung from the washing line in the kitchen for at least several hours up to a day to make sure there was no blood lurking. Nothing worse, in my opinion, than blood either flowing or solid (when cooked). I like my steak (or lamb) done so that the meat is just slightly pink in the centre and not oozing.
