How many things do you have right now that you made?

As you can probably guess, I make a lot of things, but I don't post all of them. Some are the "support" variety - like sauces - that I don't think about because I'm always making them. I usually just think of whatever the latest Major Project is as "what I made this week". There was a time when I'd make one thing, and then wait until it was all gone before I made something else. Times have changed.

A few months ago, I decided to count how many homemade things I had at that moment. I was stunned: I had at least remnants of 16 different things. I decided to count just now...and I was surprised at how much was there:
  1. Kimchi
  2. Preserved Lemon
  3. Dill Pickles
  4. Ranch Dressing
  5. Reuben Sauce
  6. Pickled Onions
  7. Serrano Pepper Jelly
  8. Breaded Broccoli
  9. Rye Bread
  10. Basil-Lemon Ice Cream
  11. Two Lem Brulee Cupcakes - I hid them from the kids, and forgot about them
  12. Watermelon Salsa - about ready to be thrown out, but still (probably) edible
  13. Black Olive Pate
  14. Arugula Pesto - just a spoonful :(
  15. Rice Pudding - hilariously, I completely forgot about this one because I never get to eat any of it! I make it 2-3 times a week, and my wife and her parents get to eat all of it.
I started writing this post when I found 10 items but kept finding ones that I had made and forgot about. I also have a jar of Preserved Limes, but they aren't quite ready, so they don't count (yet). Cooking is too much fun.

That's a pretty impressive list. Can't match it but:

Wholemeal bread (usually made twice a week)
About 20 assorted sauces and gravies in the freezer.
Smoked salmon, also in freezer.
Black current coulis
Courtesy of my wife:
Chilli sauces (both hot and sweet)
Jams from own fruit - raspberry, rhubarb, blackcurrent, plum
Various chutneys
Blackcurrent cordial
A small portion of cherry clafoutis left over from last Sunday.
 
I have:

Pickled onions;
Pickled dill cucumbers;
Salsa;
Lime pickle;
A jacket potato;
Mint sauce;
Mushy peas (freezer;
Chili con carne (freezer);
Chicken curry (freezer);
A loaf of bread (freezer);

That's it I think. Other than different types/styles of curries I rarely have more than that.
