I'm originally from the West Coast, but moved to the Midwest a few years ago. Some of my favorite foods include TexMex, Mexican, Italian, and Asian. I enjoy cooking, but I'm utter rubbish at baking. Right now I'm trying to rediscover how to cook authentic food from my parents' homeland but it's proving to be a little bit of a challenge due to the lack of certain ingredients.

Keep persevering in finding those ingredients. I love making Indian and middle eastern foods and also find finding some of the ingredients interesting to say the least, but I have found some wonderful new foods in the process and the journey is well worth making!
