Ingredients:
500 mls soy sauce
320 gms palm sugar, dark brown sugar or jaggery
2 pieces star anise
4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
4 cms fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

Method:
Place all the ingredients in a small pan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to a simmer and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the mixture has reduced by about 1/3rd. Strain out the aromatics and bottle.

Gonna give it a try as mine is finished.
I get by with soy sauce and molasses.
Ginger & garlic are normally in the meal already, so thats why I wouldn't miss them.
I wouldn't have figured out the star anise. Never picked that up
