Lol..... not exactly what you were thinking. It's an updated pic of my other hobby. I have one more set enroute.

I'll post close up pictures of each set as time permits.

Thank you. I've been putting it together for the last 10 years. I've probably owned 25 different sets. Usually no more than 4 at a time. Soon I'll be at 6 :)

I love our poker nights. I don't actually go to the casinos. I like the home game structure. I have a great group of guys that I play with. We play about three times a month.

I've never bought a ticket.

The set below was/is my first custom set. I hired a designer and created these chips. The sunset theme is kind of a commemorative design that reflects on our 20th anniversary vacation. We were vacation at an all inclusive resort in Mexico. Ever morning my wife and I would enjoy the sunrises and every evening we would enjoy the sunsets. I love me wife and our marriage. This theme seemed to make the most sense to me. It is my only "untouchable" set.

The $25.00 chip also has my grandsons name on it along with the year that he was born :)

I don't do any lotteries because I don't gamble, I grew up in a house with very little money so I cannot justify handing over money without seeing something for my pennies.

I don't gamble either. I play a skill based game that does include a touch of luck (which keeps the bad issues returning) :)

FWIW, my poker hobby is completely self reliant. My table chips, everything, comes out of my winnings. Keeps the wife happy that way.

Wow...really cool (the design, and the story behind it).
 
My other fun set that a friend help me design is my bourbon basement poker chips. The Edge spot color design is called the quarter pie. I've always liked this design on a chip so I decided to build a whole set around it. We play poker in my basement and I love to drink bourbon, hence the bourbon basement poker chips.

Never played poker, never knew anyone that did. I do occassionally buy a powerball or megamillion ticket...like this week with the jackpots being so high i sit here i could be rich and not know it cause i haven't check my numbers yet but the megamillion drawing was over 400million this week. And i don't see it as wasting money if i don't win...it bought me a little time to dream about what the heck to do with 400million dollars. That dream where i buy a little land and build a big pottery studio and a not overly big house, feed my cats better food, buy a rv and travel a little...
 
I play almost every weekend. I'm playing tonight for a few hours. As much as I enjoy playing poker. I really enjoy collecting/designing poker chips. The bourbon chips and the sunset chips are customs. I couldn't be more proud of them :)
 
We play euchre here, friends for dinner last sat, then 3 games of euchre. It's always a laugh, my partner is my friends wife. We won 3 -0.
