I used to know a lady who made some amazing pecan crackers from scratch. They were kind of like a savory cookie really, but they were very good. I have not been able to find a recipe online, but if any of you have a recipe for something similar that you would be willing to share I would love it.

Rosyrain, Do you think it was the addition of pecans to a shortbread recipe? That I do have a really good recipe for and yes they do end up with the texture of a cracker but are can be used for a cookie as well. I used to make them often before the butter prices went through the roof but I haven't lately. The nice thing about them is you can top them with a sharp cheddar or cream chees and it's a totally different taste sensation.

wow, I have never heard of them, but I bet they are good. Have you tried googling or doing a web search to see if you can find a similar recipe? I am a fan of everything pecan really. My motto is if it has pecans in it, it is bound to be good.
