We are reasonably private, we don't have parties ar gatherings at our house however we do enjoy going out with family and friends.

As I have mentioned before we go to a cheese club with a coup!e of friends, this Friday we are going to a wine tasting evening with the same couple. When our pub has their comedy shows we hook up with other friends. We just prefer to go out with others, drinks, meals etc..

Do you prefer going out with friends and family ir do you prefer to invite them to yours?

Most of my socialising is when I stay with my friend (I'm off to visit tomorrow). We have small dinner parties (I do the cooking) and go to gallery openings and meet friends for drinks in Cambridge. I'm not the most sociable of people - I tend to prefer a small dinner party.

I'm awful at socialising. I hate it. Even family gatherings are hard work for me because I'm not good with crowds or loud noises.

If we eat out I prefer to eat out just as a couple. I don't mind trying new places but won't do it too often because of me being allergic to dairy proteins. It's easier now being in Australia (than the UK) where the attitude is more a what can we make for you rather than there's nothing on the menu so you can't have anything (ok, some restaurants in the UK took a better attitude but...)

We do have a yearly works do at our place (firing up the wood fired pizza oven) but that's in the open air with lots of space and easier for me to cope with.

I love socializing. Hosting and going out :)

I've been in sales most my life , last 25 years working for myself, reps are normally outgoing, so I'm confident without be in ya face type. I love cooking for friends and family. I cook for my kids and their wee ones every Sunday night, have done for years. Like the pic above I host euchre nights here, I can tell you they are side splitting funny as.
Got friends all around the world. I love life and what it has too offer.

I host euchre nights here,
New word for me 'euchre' and I learned:

Euchre (and its variations) is the reason why modern card decks were first packaged with jokers, a card originally designed to act as the right and left " bowers" (high trumps). Although later eclipsed by Bridge (as with so many other games of this type), Euchre is still well known in America and is an excellent social game.

Cheese club again tonight :hyper:

Tell me more please...... I'm in a group of around 12 to 14 people that are in a dinner club group. We go out the first Wednesday of every month. Is that similar to you.??
Ours started about 7 years ago after 2 earthquakes that killed a lot of people here in ch ch. we started the group to support some of the smaller restaurants that were struggling. We've carried on as we all like a nice meal, a drink and a laugh.

In our town we have a deli, on the 3rd Tuesday of every month they bring 4 different cheeses, crackers and chutney to our local pub, it is a ticket only event this way they know how many they are catering for. Every month they have a different theme, Swiss cheese, French cheese, smelly cheese, last night was cheddar. They explain where the cheeses comes from, the process of making it etc, the pub provide salad, fruit and bread. We generally go with a couple of friends but if they don't go then we sit with other people and have a good natter. I have attached a picture from last night.

Man I'd love to go there and maybe learn some more, we have a nice cheese factory about an hour from here called Barry's bay cheese, I love the masdaam and aged cheddar. I quite often do cheese platters here.

When we go out for a meal we prefer to finish with a cheese board rather than a sweet dessert.
