The CookingBites Recipe Challenge: Garlic

This looks like exactly what I did make, albeit with a slightly different spelling:

It is similar but not exactly the same! As @Elawin says in her intro to the recipe:

There are quite a lot of recipes for Mesir Wat on the internet, all of which are slightly different and most of which claim to be authentic. This recipe is a hybrid, and it’s how I like it. It is very fragrant, filling, and warming.

There are various differences between the two versions particularly in terms of spices. But I am sure that both are quite delicious! :D

Some of the dishes best known in Spain using garlic are:

1) Bacalao ( cod fish) al Pil Pil which is salt cod, Evoo & garlic sliced lengthwise prepared stove top.
2) Sopa de Ajo - a medieval garlic and bread soup.
3) In Cataluna, Romesco Sauce which is prepared with roasted red peppers, garlic, hazelnuts, Evoo, almonds and day old bread crumbs .. It is served with fish.

So far from all this garlic I have made a batch of my tomato pasta sauce - 9 jars in total - which used two whole bulbs of garlic, a batch of artichoke soup which included 5 cloves of garlic and my entry for the comp which is my recipe for Portuguese style chicken which includes a whopping 10 cloves of garlic.
