What is a squeaky cheese curd?

They are cheese curds, very popular in Canada and our northern mid west states in poutine as bucky mentioned. Some folks refer to the with "squeaky" in front. I've never had them as I'm partial to nachos and queso dip, but not with Velveeta:sick:.
 
Yes, they are the rubbery curds from the process of making cheese. They kind of sqeak on your teeth when you eat them.
 
The toasted cheese and chips sandwiches were lovely BTW. I made them in the sandwich toaster so they were nicely sealed up. For some of the sandwiches, I added a squeeze of brown sauce too :laugh:
