Chocolate Button Cake. From the Hamlyn all Colour Cookbook.

Buttons applied by Jakey Boy, I think he did a good job really.

Cake didn't rise as in the picture in the book. I think I knocked a bit of air out of it while beating in the egg.

Otherwise happy with it, next time it'll look better.

Interesting. What are the ingredients in the dough?

Flour, salt, water, yeast, and a bit of EVOO. I like the texture better, it's a little chewier but tender at the same time, and the flavor is more yeasty and just better. I could just sit and eat the pita by itself, i actually did, which has never been the case before.
