What did you cook/eat today (August 2017)?

My wife wanted some more moo daeng (char sui) so she brought a couple of pieces of pork loin home yesterday. I left them to marinate in the fridge overnight.

This all sounds like very good German Mexican fusion food - is that right?
I suppose that's how it ended up, isn't it? :laugh: However, that was not my original plan. Hubby enjoyed the Mama sandwich he had on Thursday so much we brought some to cook at our daughter's. Then hubby thought we wouldn't have enough food with only six (huge) sausages. We did. So now we'll eat leftovers.

Son doesn't like mayonnaise-based potato salad, so I made the mustard/oil/vinegar version, which we like just as much. The corn-tomato mash-up was basically to dress up some old corn in a new dish - another favorite of hubby and me. The corn-tomato salad is also good with Feta, but Queso Fresco was what I found at the local Aldi.
 
It was an easy going night with left over picnic food. So we had an indoor picnic of quiche, cheese, French bread, pate and a fresh green salad. Fresh fruit to follow.
