Thursday night's dinner was spinach, tomato and butterbean curry, served with steamed basmati rice and flat breads.

So far today

Mandarin cake
Salted Maple & pecan caramel popcorn
Cheats ice cream with masala chai spices & candied ginger in syrup.

The board says fish for dinner but I'm low on mojo right now.

Given the water chestnuts it was time for chop suey.

We shared the last of it this evening. Warmed up (in the wok) it tasted as good if not better than five days ago. The water chestnuts certainly added more "crispness" to the dish (we haven't incorporated water chestnuts before as they were not readily available).

I've been on a bit of a "Portuguese Pork" kick lately....
Had 2 different recipes this past week and one for the second time....

Pork tenderloin tossed in flour flavored with salt, pepper and paprika....brown on all side in heavy skillet..remove...sauté slice onion and 1/2 lb mushrooms in buter until soft....return prok to skillet...add 1/2 cup white wine...couple tablespoons minced rosemary...cover..cook on low heat 20-30 minute depending on thickness of meat..check with thermometer after 1/2 hr.....we like a little rare....
