Unfortunately, very little and nothing interesting ..

I caught a terrible cold and it is just some home made chicken soup from home made stock / broth with "vermicelli noodles" and a ginger peeled and boiled in wáter to créate an herbal infusión and fresh honey from farm near by .. So, I am feeling a little better but appetite is on very limited ..

@TooSweetForMe

Thank you for your Speedy recovery wishes ..

@Francesca

I am not surprised that you contracted a cold from your office. Bacteria and viruses love warm places - heated environments. The best foil for winter bugs is a cool environment. Do you ever wonder why Dr.'s offices, hospitals and casinos are so cold? The cold temps keep viruses and bacteria from growing and spreading. Much better to work in a cold environment and wear a jacket then work in a warm environment and get sick.

Feel better soon.

We were lazy and had McDonald's for lunch today. Chicken salad with pecans and cranberries for supper tonight.

Not one of Christine McVie's then?

I rarely eat "fast food". McDonalds is my least liked except for breakfast and their coffee drinks.
I only like burgers from their Signature Collection - not nearly so many additives as they used to have, and made from proper British or Irish beef. They are not cheap, though, which is why I wait for them to give out their "free burgers" coupons. Our local McDonalds is a drive through, and the mutt finds it rather fascinating :laugh:

Salad again for lunch... And another double yolker :oops:

So, lettuce, carrot, celery, grapes, dates, spring onion, mushroom, tamari almonds, tomatoes, green olives, red and green peppers and hummus. I finished off with a golden nugget orange and a few pieces (tiny scraps) of freshly grated coconut.
I’m pretty sure I managed my full intake of fruit & veg today.
Me too, at least provided I don't consider that the Japanese recommend something like 20 portions of fruit and veg a day rather than the paltry 5 that is the UK recommended. I think by the end of the day I will be around the 12 or 13 mark, maybe. I'm not certain how many are recommend in Australia. It's it also 5?

@Francesca best wishes and get well soon.

@Francesca, I hope you and your cold part ways quickly.

We grazed on leftovers: ham/beans/greens, chicken and mushrooms in wine sauce, beef stew, potato salad ~ All Gone! A wee bit of black bean soup is left, but not even enough for one. We still have two nights of suppers before we leave. I still have raw ingredients to use for tomorrow, but I am not dirtying up the kitchen come Friday night! :laugh:

@ElizabethB

Thank you Elizabeth ..

The air conditioning did not help either ! We had a heat wave and then going into cold offices and drinking cold wáter ...

Well, I caught it from a co-worker ..

I will rest up @ home until Monday ..

To comment, this is why so many people get or die from pneumonia too !! Because hospitals are too too cold ..

Have a lovely weekend ..
