What did you cook/eat today (September 2017)?

The turkey wings are slightly burnt and the green banana is partially hidden. I don't mind getting my "burn on" in the kitchen. It's usually deliberate.
 
We started with everything-from-the-garden salads, then followed those up with Smothered Chicken. Let you think I used a pillow, I "smothered" the chicken cutlets with sauteed onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms, then covered all of that with mozzarella cheese. Popped it under the broiler until the cheese is melted and starting to brown.

There really IS chicken under those veggies and cheese. Honest!
 
The idea was to serve this with black pepper sauce but something went amiss and I settled for mustard.

The jacket potatoes were stuffed with creamed potato, onions, garlic, a little tomato puree and Irish red Cheddar cheese.
