What dish from another country or culture can you not live without?

This: "...what dish that is not originally from your own culture or country, can you not live without?" is a very interesting question. Picture all of the different cultures and cuisines across Europe, how vast and varied they are. Then realize that the continuous 48 states in the United States is almost the same size. Toss in Alaska and Hawaii, and it makes the U.S. much larger than Europe. Just like Europe, the cuisines and cultures of the different regions are as different as night and day.

With that being said, I think the style of cooking in the southern region of the country, from South Carolina through to New Orleans, would be the cuisine I would miss most if I could never have it again. Lucky for me I'm pretty good with cooking it myself at home. I do hope to get to New Orleans some day, however, and experience the cuisine firsthand.
