Who has seen or used black potatoes?

I wonder if they taste just like regular potatoes.

i use a potato called vitelotte,it has its uses, as a garnish or within a dish such as a gnocchi ,they are quite earthy nutty flavour nearly a chestnut flavour ,great for salads

I used to grow what were called Shetland Black potatoes which looked pretty much those. I always felt they were more purple than black personally, but... And other than being really tasty, yes they taste like potatoes. I only grew heritage varieties. What variety is that one?
