our family have always had at my mothers , until we teased her one time to many. Then she quit doing it so I took over. This started at my place about 25 years ago. I dish up the following for my family.

A leg of lamb with mint sauce ( mine)
Rolled pickled pork with apple sauce.
A turkey roast with stuffing
New potatoes ( from our garden)
Roast potatoes
Roast parsnip
Roast pumpkin
Roast kumara
Fresh peas ( our garden)
Home made gravy.

Everyone's normally full and a snooze is on the cards.
What's your dinner have?

Russ

This year:

Free range chicken
Peas
Carrots
Parsnips
We roast potatoes-no shop bought
Sprouts
Yorkshire puddings.

This is what dad likes so this is what we will serve :)

I have no clue, my daughter is hosting this year.

Lol, lucky you. My mum used to do lunch until we pusher her too far one year. We used to wind her up with smart comments until one year she snapped and she refused to do it again. Then I took over, then she used to wind me up, lol. I love Xmas day. Digging spuds out of the garden.

Once again, my husband cooked a delicious Christmas chicken dinner

Turkey
Apricot and herb stuffing
Pigs in blankets
Bread sauce
Madeira wine gravy
Roast potatoes
Roast parsnips
Shredded sprouts with chestnuts and pancetta
Peas and carrots
Red cabbage braised in port
Pumpkin and chestnut purée
Cranberry sauce.

Chicken liver parfait for starters, Christmas pudding afterwards. Then a good snooze in front of the fire. :o_o:

My daughter loves a red, we opened a cheap merlot, we enjoyed it, daughter bought a $50 bottle of red. I tried it and didn't like it. Then she tried it, it was off. Cheap wins! Lol.

Expensive isn't always better :headshake:
