I have reviewed and updated the additional video recipe copyright guidelines. They can be found at the bottom of every page under the Help section or via this direct link.
Additional Rules for Uploading Video Recipes on CookingBites.com
All general recipe rules also apply to video recipes, including creating a new thread, choosing the correct forum, using the right prefix, and tagging correctly. The following additional points apply specifically to recipes that include a video.

Additional Rules for Uploading Video Recipes on CookingBites.com
All general recipe rules also apply to video recipes, including creating a new thread, choosing the correct forum, using the right prefix, and tagging correctly. The following additional points apply specifically to recipes that include a video.
- Hosting Videos: CookingBites does not host video files. You must link to a video hosted on a recognised external platform, such as YouTube, Vimeo, or a similar service.
- Written Recipe Required: A complete written recipe must accompany every video. Many members prefer or require text versions, so the written component is mandatory even if all details appear in the video.
- Video Recipe Format: Follow the standard recipe layout and include:
- Introduction: Optional but appreciated.
- Photograph of the finished dish: Optional but encouraged.
- Ingredients: Mandatory, even if shown in the video. Include clear quantities and consistent measurements.
- Method: Mandatory, even if demonstrated in the video. Present it clearly using numbered or bulleted steps.
- Credits: Mandatory. Be transparent about your source. If you’re a food blogger, link to your site; if your recipe references another creator, credit them as well.
- Video Link: Mandatory. Add the link at the end of the method or in a clearly marked “Video” section.
- Comments or Feedback: Optional but welcome.
