Hopefully this one is a kitchen item.

I suspect it's for separating fat from 'cooking juice' but I'm guessing. The sizing is such that it fits nicely in the hands to use the spout to pour from.

Definitely not.

It actually looks like a Japanese teapot. Ir rather in the style of'. Have you tried pouring from it? A Japanese teapot would have a small spouse though and what you are saying is a spout would be a handke. Like this:

In reality it's probably simply a 'pot'. A lot of similar looking pots were made circa 1970, mainly for decorative value.

The reason I don't think it is a teapot or designed to be used hot (unless something cools first) is that there is nothing to hold the hot china with. No handle.
