Art is about personal interpretation, just because you 'don't get it' doesn't mean you are not refined, it means that you don't consider it as art.

I'm not an arty guy, but in saying that I like nice things, I went to an art exhibition about 30 years ago for a friend who was raising money. I was taken by two water colours and I successfully bid on two of these. I paid $200 for both. The artist has started to get a bit of fame now. I spoke to her a year or so ago about my purchases, she said they are worth about $1000 each now. That to me is art. The stuff above I just don't get. Never have and never will. Our local council just bought an " art " thing for our city worth around $400,000. ? It's a piece of crap. IMHO.

The artist I bought from was Bala Patel. She has a website.

I love art and I attend to the exhibitions as soon as I can, I am not refined, it's only interest to enjoy something that 'says' something, good or not. But honestly, this says absolutely nothing to me and I find it a bit assumptive.

I am a big fan of Constables Hay Wain, saw it in the National Gallery in London, it is stunning to see close up.

I know what I like and what I don't like. The above doesn't appeal to me, but having taken my landscape photography to exhibition level and sold a number of limited edition signed prints, once seen all sorts sell and some really nice stuff not sell. People are odd like that.

If the rest of the exhibit was like this, I'd consider my entry fee or donation to be a total loss.

I do like modern art, as well as more classical art. None of the three "exhibits" above make my cut.
