Back seat drivers

Have you ever had someone ride with you, then he or she wants to tell you how to drive? Every time that this little boy gets in the car, he starts up with his obnoxious back seat driving!! He would say things like; You're driving too slow, or Watch out for the red light or;
you're going too fast or, You need to pay attention to the road!! This goes on & on & he doesn't stop!! I'm really sick of it!! The other day, he asked me to give him a ride to the supermarket. I'm not even out of the driveway before he starts up!! I told him that if he starts up again, that I wouldn't go to the store!! That I'd go back and park the car and that he won't be going to the store!!!! Honestly, I'm not going to put up with him trying to boss me around on driving!!!!

I was driving long before he was born!! I don't need him teaching me how to drive. He's never even been behind the wheel yet!!!! He likes to cook at home. I don't boss him around in the kitchen. Why does he think that he can teach me how to drive?!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yep, that’s annoying. MrsT used to be a little like that, but after a few years of me pointing it out and then ignoring her advice, she’s more or less stopped.

Most of the time, she was actually trying to be helpful (“There’s an open spot up there. Park there.”), but we don’t drive the same way, so what would work for her wouldn’t work for me. It took her a while to get used to that.
 
I get :
Don't go so fast!
Take your foot off the clutch!
Be careful! There's a dog over there!
You need to change gear now.
Watch out for the motorcycle!
Why did you come this way? It's much quicker if you go down XX street!
At that point, I pull into the nearest space, get out, and sit in the back.
 
I think I'll try that! Pull over or stop in a safe place & read him his maranda rights. His siblings will hopefully get mad at him & voice their oppinion on him!! The most perfect time to do that is when I take them to the amusement park. Make him late getting there. I got time on my hands!! I'm just giving them a ride there & back. I'm not going on any of the rides. Going there is for them to have fun.
I'll say to him; "Do you want to drive? Maybe we'll get there a little faster. You need to close your mouth & keep quiet. Stop trying to boss me around on my driving. Every time you open your mouth to start up again, I'm gonna stop & read you out." He'll get the message!!!! :mad: :mad::mad:
