"Baking" in a rice cooker?

So, I'm not a big baker or anything like that, but today I ran across an interesting article about making basic sponge (?) cakes in the rice cooker? Has anyone had any experience with this? My house currently does NOT have an oven so I do wanna give it a go.

Oh wow, a sponge cake in a rice cooker! To be honest I haven't heard of this one before but I am interested to hear from anyone who has tried it.
It seems like an almost impossible thing to do really... I wouldn't mind trying it out myself though!

so you are steaming it? steamed puddings are nothing new, so why not steamed cakes?

I have heard of making a cake in a slow cooker so why not a rice cooker. I have not tried doing this myself, looking forward to your post.

I've don't some weird cooking in a rice cooker, but never even thought of this one. Not sure what the results would be. I can't say I wouldn't try it if I had to.
