Basil Pesto

Hi there
I have a huge basil plant that needs harvesting! I am mostly on my own so has anybody got tips on storing the pesto? I read best to store it with no parmesan in it.

Secons, which is the preffered parmesan, ie Reggiano or Grana Padano .. or does it not matter (TBH, I cant generally tell the difference anyway but was just curious!)

It freezes well and you don't need to make it without parmesan to freeze it. Otherwise it keeps in a jar in the fridge - but I'm not sure how long.
