I will most certain agree with the reviews, it is not cheap, but having had one now for 3 months, it is stunningly good. It is strong enough to even press ginger and with a decent weight to it, you can bash the skin off that garlic clove in no time. It is amazingly easy to clean, it presses almost all of the garlic through in one go and no need for that scrap it off the sides and repress that my last garlic press had. Seriously - it is really good, and no I am not on commision.
