Am I late to the party again? lol I didn't know black cocoa powder existed till I read it yesterday in one of my cooking magazines. They have a big picture and recipe of a black cake they suggest will be fun to make for Halloween. Have you ever used Black Coca Powder and if so, what did you make?

Never heard of it unless its simply chocolate powder made from high percentage cacao - which would be dark but not exactly black.

We get the same mag. That cake does look delicious. I'd never heard of it either, but apparently the outer parts of an oreo use black cocoa powder. Apparently, it is extremely heavily dutched.

I just ordered some cacao nibs and the pimenton for Craig's recipe he posted and wants to make. While I was on Amazon, looked at black cocoa powder and put it in the cart for a future purchase. I ordered almost $40 worth of stuff and figured that was enough for today.
