There are several types of currants, black, red, white and Zante.

I just bought these black currants which are imports from England.

I expect to use this in one or more recipes for the wine recipe challenge, by adding wine with other stuff.

I vaguely remember having it on toast as a wee kid from my nan. I didn't mind it, in fact I think I liked it but never had it since. I make all sorts of jam so I suppose I need to make that as well?
We have red currants here growing for the first time.

I have to hunt them down and buy them. I used currants for the first time very recently, augmenting a spaghetti sauce and then just snacking, spooning the remainder out of the jar. Good stuff.
