Can you spot the food from its flower?

I only scored 3/8.

Typical!

Do you know the fruit that is from this flower?

Got 'em all correct. I've either grown them in my garden, or have had relatives in Florida who've grown each of the foods in the quiz.

I have a buddy in Mackay, Qld, Oz, that grows them. Same problem there with the gallahs.

I've known people who put up mist nets around their fruiting plants and bushes to protect the harvest as it comes ripe, only to find out it's usekess for protection but a good trap for the birds. Much like a lobster or fish trap, the damn birds find their way through the net, eat their fill, but then can't get out.

The plant has long gone now. Too much hassle as the cost of dragon fruits are but buttons in season.

However, the flower is quite spectacular. It intimates its intention to flower around early evening but only flowers at night. That picture was taken with flash either very late or very early next morning (I don't remember). By the time the sun has risen it has become a sad wilted has been.
