Charcoal alternative

Bic came out with those flame discs and I'm actually amazed at how good they really work! I bought one just last week to see how my food would taste and how long it worked for. I grilled out chicken and BBQ ribs. I have to say they tasted so good! They had a charcoal flavor without the mess of dealing with charcoal.

Have you used one of the disks? What did you grill out with it?

Ive never used the disk, but as a alternative you might want to try a rocket stove. All you need is a few pieces of wood. Very inexpensive.

I have not used any of the disks. I still prefer the usual charcoal grill because it works fast and you can always guarantee an authentic barbecue flavor and smell. I don't mind using the electric barbecue grill, though with one caveat: barbecue tastes like one of those synthetic fast food flavors. As long as I have the right spicy sauce, then it doesn't matter what I use to cook barbecue.
