Christmas present ideas for foodies?

How about a Mozzarella and Ricotta cheese making kit?
Makes enough for 20lb of cheese (in 10 batches)....

Or one of their other cheese making kits?
Scottish Crowdie, Goat's Milk, Halloumi or a Childs?

I would probably go for something practical like canister sets, mittens and kitchen towels. These are items which will always come in handy in the kitchen and would make for nice gifts without too much expense.

I really want the kitchen blow torch featured at the top of this thread! I gave asked people to get me new serve ware this year as I like to present my dishes in a nice way.

A couple of years ago my folks bought us 6 small jars of mixed sauces, the carribean one is really hot so use sparingly but the Indonesian garlic and chilli was so good we used it up pretty quickly and spent time on the web looking for suppliers, our local garden centre sold it so we bought a big jar. A terrific gift.

I Think this would be a great gift for those who like making homemade breads. and $130 with free shipping seems like a good deal to me!

Wow that is some mark up for the UK version with the same model number. It comes out at £231 here! Roughly $360!

:woot: That is a big mark up! one of my closest friends lives in Canada and often there is also a huge mark up in price of exact same items there in comparison to price here in the USA.
