Creative thanksgiving recipe ideas?

Anyone have some unique thanksgiving recipe ideas for this holiday?
 
This pumpkin cheesecake recipe I came across recently sounded delicious. It's got a crust made out of gingersnap cookies instead of the usual grahm cracker crust as well:

That same cook, also recently did a recipe for broiled scallops in shells which looked good too and can be made in advance, which makes it even easier. It would be fun to include some seafood dishes on Thanksgiving to change things up:

I would also look into some of the more unusual varieties of stuffings/dressings that people make throughout the US - some of them are quite unusual.
 
Wrap your turkey in BACON! I have not tried this myself yet but my boyfriends brother-in-law has and it looks amazing!
And I bet the turkey will absorb most of the bacon fat so it will enhance the flavor of the turkey! Who doesn't love bacon?!
