Since I came back to CookingBites, my meals have really perked up again. Participating in the Recipe Challenges and sharing cooking experiences with other members has motivated some great meals. For the longest time, while working on some projects, I was doing Microwave this and that just about every day, with an occasional Pasta meal.

Thanks CookingBites and members of same.

Here are some meals that I am just going have to repeat at some time ( in order of preference) ...

The Chicken Soup with Corn Dumplings challenge recipe. ***** (Five Stars)
The Lamb and Baked Potato meal I did a couple days ago with left overs. ***** (Five Stars)
The Dakotas Lamb Quiche challenge recipe. ****- (Four and a Half Stars)
The Caldo de Camaronnes challenge recipe.
The Red Lentil and Flaked Salmon Casserole recipe.
The Blue Corn Tortillas Recipe with Harina added as an ingredient.

And some of my old recipes that I would like to do again include ...

The Seafood Chakchouka recipe. ***** (Five Stars)
The Beef Rouladen (my way) recipe ***** (Five Stars)
The Salmon Net Allumette challenge recipe. ***** (Five Stars)
The Penne Lentrise' with Pesto Lentriso recipes. ***** (Five Stars)

What was my worst recipe?

The Mijoteuse Poulet Cipaille recipe. This experiment in a crock pot was overly ambitious.

Damn, I'm eating good!

I concur. I really miss cooking/baking for my children and have been in a rut just sticking to T-n-T recipes. Since being here, I've ventured outside my comfort zone and tried recipes I would have never thought of or been interested in just reading a recipe. I especially like how helpful and patient members have been which is a different feel from other forums where experienced cooks/bakers act like everyone just automatically (or should) know things. I don't feel afraid to ask questions here and that, in itself, is very much appreciated.

I haven't even mentioned that there are recipes from other members that I'd like to try. That's for damn sure.

Believe me, speaking as a member, this forum is responsible for my development as a good cook (and in photographing food) over the last 5 years. I started as competent. Now I'm confident and experimental when cooking.

And yes, if CookingBites has a USP its probably that we are supportive and like to help each other. Plus the fact we try to stamp on any 'aggro' before it gets out of hand.
