I have recently purchased some date syrup. I have had it before and wanted to try a different brand which was apparently much thicker and nicer than the one I had bought previously (and I can confirm that it is both thicker and much nicer). I purchased it over the internet and you had to buy 6 jars (Basra Date Syrup). 2 of the jars had come open when the package arrived and the company is sending me another 6 jars free of charge...
So my question is "what else can I use it for?" because I am going to have rather a lot of it and other than serving it with plain (soya) yoghurt as a desert, or mixing it with tahini and serving on bread/toast for breakfast I don't know what else to use it for...
My initial thoughts were to use it instead of treacle or the üzüm pekmezi (grape molasses) that I haven't been able to get hold of, but that is still fairly limiting and 10 jars could take a rather long time to get through!
