For anyone that doesn't know I'm part of a group that formed 10 years ago, after the earthquakes small businesses were finding it hard to,survive so we as a group formed dinner club, first Wednesday every month with everyone getting a pick around their birthday. But December we push the boat out and go a bit upmarket. We usually support small places but Xmas is different. There's normally 10 to 12 of us. The George is an excellent restaurant. I had the duck liver parfait. Nothing like I expected but real nice. Then I has the shoulder of lamb. Potato croquettes peas carrots Ove parsnip purée.
