Do you make your own custard?

I've never tried to make my own custard from scratch but l'd like to try so does anyone have any tried and tested recipes?

I used to make my own custard when I first started baking in my teen years, but mostly following custard recipes that came along with the cake recipes.

Actually I mostly bake different types of break and occasionally cakes, but not requiring any custard, I have not tried to browse back for those tested recipes that I could suggest.

I am not the maker of custard, so I cannot comment much on this. However, my wife makes it and it is always the right consistency and taste. I will get her inputs on her secrets and post it here.
