I saw the recipe below. Why does it say the tin of black beans should be drained and rinsed if we're going to add 6 tbsp of water. Would it not be better to just retain the water in the tin of beans?

Black Bean Brownies with Chia Seeds Recipe

Black Bean Brownies with Chia Seeds | Thrivo UK

Ingredients

2 tablespoons chia seeds
6 tablespoons water, plus 2 tablespoons extra, if needed
1 x 400g tin black beans, drained and rinsed
90g cacao powder
45g coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ teaspoons baking powder
100g coconut palm sugar
23 x 30cm baking tin lightly greased with coconut oil

Method

Soak the chia seeds in the 6 tablespoons water in a small bowl for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas 4.
Put the black beans, soaked chia seeds, cacao powder, coconut oil, vanilla extract, baking powder and coconut palm sugar in a food processor and blitz together. If the dough appears a bit too thick, add a couple of tablespoons of water and mix again.
Evenly spread the dough into the prepared baking tin and bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool before you cut into squares. They are meant to be gooey and melt in your mouth.

That canned bean water can be salty and starchy. Depending on the recipe, sometimes you'll keep it, and sometimes you'll drain it.
