How are fish and chips in actual London? I get my malt vinegar from there and it's delicious, but never been there.

The times I've been their, it has been like the US -- some really good fish and chips, and some really bad. Just being in England doesn't make it automatically good.

There are some great places to eat fish & chips, and if that´s what you want to eat, it´s worthwhile doing a little investigation. The latest recommendations are here: Chippies
However, almost every pub, inn and restaurant in London serves fish & chips. Some are good, some are overpriced, some are fantastic, some are awful.
