I have never used fondant before. How do you use it? How is it made? Is it fairly easy to use and make or is it more complex? I am very interested to try it, but I don't know where to start. How can I get started? Thanks for any advice.
 
depends on how adventurous you want to be and what country you are in.
In the UK we can purchase ready made cheese fondants which you just add to the fondant bowl and warm up ready to use. One of the varieties I really used to like but sadly can't now have many of them at all being allergic to all dairy.
 
I'm in the U.S. and I am wanting to try to make marshmallow fondant for a cake. I've heard it is good and fairly easy to make, but I don't know where to begin. I've never made fondant, and truthfully I do not know what all it entails. I was wondering if anyone had experience in making it or using it? Also, I wondered if anyone had recipes I could try.
I'm trying to expand my cake decorating skills. :)
