I'm off to a friend's memorial picnic. They're meeting up at one of his favourite spots for lunch and afternoon activities which for me thinking about what food i would like served at my memorial.

There's a tofu chocolate cake or a raw cheesecake that i love. Everyone loves it, then hesitates when they find out what's in it or that it's dairy free...

Recipe - No Bake, Tofu Chocolate Tart

Recipe - Vegan Dark Chocolate Berry Cheesecake

I'd also love to have served the chickpea dish we eat once a year at Christmas. It's a very rich dish, but lovely.

Recipe - Chickpea Salad

So what would you choose?

Chickpea salad all the way!

My plans are to have everyone wait awhile after I pass, then have a catered afternoon tea.

My wife’s family will say, “Yep, that sounds like Tasty,” my nieces and nephews will say, “OMG! How perfect! That was Uncle Tasty to a…giggle…tea!” and most of my siblings will say, “What the hell?! What am I supposed to wear?! It’s hot tea?! Do I hafta stick my pinkie out?! I ain’t goin’! That damn Tasty!”

For my mum, dad and aunt's wakes, we just trundled off to some local pubs. Sandwiches, mini- quiches, sausage rolls, charcuterie board, dips, and some samosas.
Personally, when I pop my clogs, I've got no preferences. There won't be any of my favourite Indian food, because no-one else in the family knowa how to cook it.
