Anyone get foodie presents this year? I got a few..

Actual food:
Loads and loads of chocolates
Marzipan fruits
Coffee syrups
Apricot Brandy
Christmas pudding beer!
Selection of teas
Pack of three curry pastes

Non-food foodie presents:
Julienne attachment for my magimix
Salt and pepper mill

This will keep me busyfor a while.

Sounds good!

None this year unless I count a bottle of Laphroaig.

Edit: not quite true - my son bought me some pieces of vintage cutlery/serving implements which I can use for food photography.

I got a food processor!

Here there were some vegan chocolates, and a vegan Asian cookbook...

There were also some wooden toaster tongues that my mother thought we'd need. Apparently they stick magnetically to the side of a toaster if your toaster is of a magnetic metal. And some chicken napkins.

We just received a Christmas gift from our Nephew and his family

A basket filled with 3 1/2 pounds of nuts.
I know that we won't eat all of this before they go stale/bad, so I put some in zip-top bags and into the deep freeze they went for later.
Now ...
How to up-cycle that basket.
It can't be washed, I don't think anyways, so I simply wiped it out with a damp cloth and added our own goodies as wells as some of the nuts.

💩
I looked up what this Nut basket costs ... they were far too generous!
I'm not telling DH the price, because they are on our "do not call list". 😑
I don't even know their address to send a Thank You card so...
