This is something I just came up with because the canned salads needed help.
Ingredients:
1 can (425 grams)100% juice sliced peaches
1 can (425 grams)100% juice tropical fruit salad
1 can (425 grams) citrus salad
1 can (311 grams) mandarin oranges
2 tablespoons cornstarch (thickener)
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon lime juice

Method:
Put the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. Drain the sliced peaches and tropical fruit salads into the saucepan. Add the lemon and lime juices.
Drain but do not use the liquid off the oranges and citrus salads.
Put all the fruits in a bowl.
Over medium heat, cook the stuff in the saucepan until bubbly.
Let cool about a minute. Pour over the fruits.
Store in the refrigerator.
You can add a few maraschino cherries if you have them.
You could also add any fresh fruits you have on hand.

So what is in the citrus salad?
And why aren't you using the liquid from the cans?
The citrus salad is grapefruit and oranges.
I didn't use the liquid from the citrus salad and mandarin oranges because they are in syrup not juice.
